What exactly is s-filter®?
HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air. HEPA filters are today widely used by producers of microchips, inside surgery theatres in hospitals and even by NASA. Electrolux s-filter is a HEPA 13 filter that filters small particle sizes extremely well. The filter media is made of tightly structured, very thin glass fibres, which boosts the filtration mechanism especially for small particles.
The s-filter® has been awarded with the ECARF seal of quality. ECARF stands for the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation which has its base in Berlin, Germany. The main target for ECARF is to improve the awareness and the knowledge of allergies, reduce the illness-stress on patients and society, improve research concerning allergies and also support the Global Allergy and Asthma European Network (GA²LEN).
