What is s-bag® classic long performance?
s-bag® classic long performance is a new synthetic dust bag that has been developed to provide long lasting vacuum cleaner performance, i.e. a high level of suction power and maximum filtration, up to the moment the dust bag is full and ready for disposal.
If you continue to vacuum with a bag that is over half full, your cleaning efficiency will soon be reduced. Not so with our new s-bag® classic long performance which last up to 50% longer than an ordinary paper bag!
What are the benefits of s-bag® classic long performance?
s-bag® classic long performance is a new synthetic dust bag that offers:
- + 50% lifetime: s-bag® classic long performance can be used longer than a normal paper dust bag since the dust is absorbed into the bag without blocking the pores, thus avoiding reduction in suction power. The bag, with its synthetic material, adjusts it-self perfectly to the shape of the bag compartment optimising the space available, the capacity of the bag and its lifetime. As a result, you no longer need to change dust bags so often.
- Max suction power: The synthetic material in s-bag® classic long performance ensures optimum air flow and an even better distribution of the dust which has been sucked up. It will give your cleaner more constant suction power as the dust bag fills up. This bag therefore provides a convincing cleaning performance over a much longer period of time.
- Good filtration: this synthetic material filters the air that leaves the cleaner and is re-circulated back into the room. The improved filtration of s-bag® classic long performance gives you a better cleaning result with less dust being deposited back onto furniture and floors. This dust bag filters up to 99% of particles as small as 1 micron (meaning 15 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair). It also filters the air 40% more efficiently than a normal paper bag and helps you get rid of airborne particles such as, for example, allergens and some bacteria.
- High Resistance: thanks to the high quality synthetic material, the s-bag® classic long performance will not burst under powerful suction and the synthetic material will not be damaged when hard or sharp parts (like gravel & glass) are vacuumed.
What’s new in s-bag® classic long performance?
To make it easier to fit the dust bag into the cleaner compartment, and to improve the vacuuming efficiency, we have developed an innovative folding of the synthetic dustbag.
Compared to a flat synthetic bag, the new “side-folded” dust bag:

The test was based on measuring the performance and quality of this dust bag under real conditions and against the following criteria:
- Suction power: The reduction in suction power with s-bag® classic long performance must be significantly less than that with paper dust bags.
- Operating lifetime: With the same suction power, s-bag® classic long performance must be able to hold, on average, up to 50 % more than paper dust bags, i.e. they must have an up to 50 % longer usage life.

What is s-bag® classic long performance made of?
The s-bag® classic long performance is made of polypropylene (PP), a synthetic material with an anti clogging fibre structure combined with a high filtration capacity. Durable, s-bag® classic long performance resists wear and tear.
Is s-bag® classic long performance environmentally friendly?
s-bag® classic long performance is to be used only once. However, the synthetic material is made of polypropylene. This material gives off nothing toxic when burnt with household waste, only water and carbon dioxide.
Furthermore, as it lasts longer than a paper bag or a flat synthetic bag, this means that it will have to be changed less often, therefore reducing pollution.
What is the difference between s-bag® classic long performance and an ordinary paper bag?
Thanks to its synthetic material, s-bag® classic long performance ensures better airflow and a better filtration. Its lifespan equals that of up to 1.5 ordinary paper dust bags and in some cases even 2 depending on the cleaner model.
How often should I change my s-bag® classic long performance?
Your dust bag should be changed when you feel a decrease in the suction power and/or when you see it is visibly full. On average and depending on use, you should change it every 2 months, or more often if necessary.
To ensure the best cleaner performance, we also recommend to change the motor filter and exhaust filter every 5 dust bags or when visibly soiled.
Can s-bag® classic long performance be used several times like a textile dust bag?
No, s-bag® classic long performance is intended for one time use but lasts twice as long as a paper bag, and is much more hygienic than a textile bag.

How will synthetic bags like s-bag® classic long performance improve the performance of my cleaner?
Synthetic materials have a better capacity to retain particles without clogging, due to the structure of the material. Clogging in dust bags means that particles block the material, thus reducing the airflow through the bag which leads to a loss in suction power. Instead of the particles adhering to the surface of the material, as it is the case with paper, they are retained in and among the fibres. This reduces the clogging effect and improves the filtration capacity as well as performance lifetime of the dust bag. Furthermore, since the synthetic fibres are automatically charged with static electricity during vacuuming, these attract the similarly charged dust particles leading to more efficient filtration.
The low clogging of the new synthetic s-bag, results in maximum suction power, thus optimizing dust pick up. Combined with high filtration, the synthetic s-bag captures a maximum of dust particles, leaving a clean home with pure fresh air.
